Have you ever wondered the value of energy saved by planting trees for cooling your home, farm, etc. in the summer or for blocking the cold winds in winter?

The district has a computer program from "American Forests" that can measure existing benefits and can model future benefits from trees planted around your home or business.

Using the statistical and analytical tools provided in CITYgreen, landscape maps can be used to quantify changes in cover type, air quality, energy savings, stormwater runoff, carbon storage and wildlife benefits.
