Water Quality Buffer Initiative
Funded
from the State Water Plan Fund, this program offers additional
incentives to landowners to install filter strips, field borders, contour
buffer strips and riparian forest buffers in certain TMDL areas and above federal reservoirs. The state buffer funds match with funding provided from federal sources to approach 100% cost-share. Check with your local county conservation district to see if your land is eligible.
