A cost-share rate of 70% of the county average cost not to exceed 70% of the actual cost for seeding grass.

Top

Grade Stabilization Structure
Purpose-To stabilize the grade and control erosion in natural or artificial channels, to prevent the formation or advance of gullies, and to enhance environment quality and reduce pollution hazards. A cost-share rate of 70% of the county average cost not to exceed 70% of the actual cost for earthwork, pipe and other components associated with pipe installation, grass seeding and fencing. $5,000 maximum payment limit.

Top

Grassed Waterway
Purpose-To provide for the disposal of excess surface water from terraces, diversions or from natural concentrations without damage by erosion or flooding. A cost-share rate of 70% of the county average cost not to exceed 70% of the actual cost for shaping excavation.

Top

Mulching
Purpose-To conserve moisture, prevent surface compaction or crusting, reduce runoff and erosion, control weeds and help establish plant cover. A cost-share rate of 70% of the county average cost not to exceed 70% of the actual cost of weed barrier fabric.

Top

Pasture and Hayland Planting
Purpose-To reduce erosion and to adjust land use. A cost-share rate of 70% of the county average cost not to exceed 70% of the actual cost for brome or native grass seeding.

Top

Pipeline
Purpose-To convey water from a source of supply to points of use. A cost-share rate of 70% of the county average cost not to exceed 70% of the actual cost for pipe and other components associated with pipe installation.

Top

Pond and/or Pond Restoration
Purpose-To provide water for livestock and to maintain or improve water quality. Note: All livestock water supply practices must be constructed or installed to serve pastures 40 acres or larger. Practices may be installed in pastures less than 40 acres when livestock are excluded from a stream. A cost-share rate of 70% of the county average cost not to exceed 50% of the actual cost for pipe, earthwork, etc. $5,000 maximum payment limit.

Top

Pumping Plant for Water Supply
Purpose-To provide a power source for a dependable alternative water source for livestock that have typically watered from a natural stream and thereby improve and protect the water quality of that stream. A cost-share rate of 70% of the county average cost not to exceed 70% of the actual cost for solar pump and solar panels.

Top

Range Seeding
Purpose-To reduce soil and water loss and to improve water quality. A cost-share rate of 70% of the county average cost not to exceed 70% of the actual cost for native grass seeding.

Top

Sediment Control Basin
Purpose-To abate pollution by providing basins for deposition and storage of sediment and agricultural wastes as part of a livestock waste management program.

Top

Spring Development
Purpose-To improve the distribution of and to increase quantity of water for livestock. A cost-share rate of 70% of the county average cost not to exceed 70% of the actual cost for collection and delivery.

Top

Streambank and Shoreline Protection
Purpose-To stabilize the eroding streambanks, reduce damage from sediment and runoff to downstream areas and improve wildlife habitat. A cost-share rate of 70% of the county average cost not to exceed 70% of the actual cost for shaping, anchors, clamps and tree plantings.
